The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of the United States is a nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard, and reserve forces.
We fight for those who fought for us. Our current focus areas in the Kentucky legislature and in D.C. include:
Healthcare Access: Expanding rural health initiatives and specialized care for toxic exposure (PACT Act implementation).
Economic Opportunity: Protecting veteran-owned business preferences and expanding housing assistance programs.
Mental Health Support: Strengthening suicide prevention programs and peer-to-peer support networks.
When you join the VFW, you’re not just joining a post—you’re joining a family of over 1.5 million members dedicated to camaraderie and service.
Expert Assistance: Our Service Officers help you navigate the VA and secure the benefits you earned.
Community Impact: From local scholarships to community relief, we are a pillar of the Kentucky community.
A Seat at the Table: Your membership adds weight to our voice when we speak to lawmakers about veteran rights.
If you have received a campaign medal for overseas service, served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea, or received action ribbon/hostile fire pay, you belong with us.
